Complaints Procedure

The Sir Robert Geffery's Almshouse Trust takes complaints very seriously. If you have a complaint, please speak to the Almshouse Manager in the first instance. If you are not satisfied with their response, please follow the Complaints Policy and Procedure, which is downloadable below.

In 2023 the Housing Ombudsman issued a new Complaints Handling Code for Landlords. As a consequence we have modified our policy and, in order to comply with their code, we must self-assess our performance annually, provide evidence that the governing body i.e. Sir Robert Geffery’s Almshouse Trust has approved the assessment; and publish the policy, the self-assessment and governing body’s response on our website.
Below are our policy, the self-assessment, and redacted minutes of the meeting in which the self-assessment was discussed, as well as our Complaints Performance Reports and Governing Body Statement.
We are pleased to report that we received no complaints in the 2023-204 period.
